Yesterday was little C’s first birthday. We’re overjoyed as to how this baby turned out to be. She’s such an amusing little girl! She’s very playful lately and teases us a lot. She’d also melt our hearts with her abundant smiles and giggles. Many times I had to bite my own tongue instead of her. Weeeeee!

Anyway I was surprised to receive a bouquet of mixed flowers from a friend. It wasn’t my birthday but I got a present from her! She said it’s a gift for surviving my first year as a mom.

I’ve got plenty to say about how I survived the ordeal in a foreign land but my mind is pretty much drained right now to form my thoughts in a comprehendable fashion. All I can say is, compared to other mother’s experience, thank God little C had no serious health-related problems or accidents that could have worried me to death.

To end this post, let me send out my BIG thanks to ALL – our family and friends who have helped me get through the first year most especially to M, for being such a good dad and husband. We made it! Cheers!

I think we should get ourselves a water-proof cell phone case so she can’t do any harm to our unit in case she gets hold of it. No matter how she bites on it, this water proof case will protect the phone not just from water but also from grit and sand. I saw this among the many cell phone accessories sold online at SF Planet. There were so many accessories and blings for phones that I never knew existed! Anyway, the water proof case is just one solution. The best solution of all is to hide our phones away from her reach or sight.

She goes by many names.  Her cousin Rjed who’s turning 5 today lovingly calls her “Caiteless”.  To me she’s Katka, Caite, Caity or Caitlyn.  Take your pick. 

Blink, blink… I’m not dreaming at all.  The little girl whom I fondly calls in this blog as little C will turn one year old next week.  Though there are times I wish she had stayed longer in her 4 month old state (that age when babies are such helpless, little creatures who can only wave their hands and kick their legs without causing any trouble like peeling the wallpapers or reaching a box of candles), I can’t help but be excited for the coming months about the surprises she’ll delight us as she grows.

Time goes by so slowly for those who wait… Madonna’s song Hung Up was playing on the radio when M asked me teasingly “That was you she’s referring to?” I wasn’t really minding the song so I didn’t immediately understood what he meant.

The story behind it:
It happened last week when my sis and I with little C went to see Prague Castle. It was past 7 in the evening when we decided we had enough though it was still bright. M said it will take him 30 minutes to get to the place. We sat on the grass right outside the Prašný Most side of the castle, waiting for him. We waited like eternity. He didn’t call nor sent sms why he’s late. Worst thing is, I couldn’t anymore make calls coz I had used up my phone load.

While waiting there, I was starting to think what our next move will be. Shall we take a taxi and go home? Or shall we just wait for him in the nearby restaurant so we can sit comfortably in the Bar Stools while we order some food and drinks. But the biggest question was, why isn’t he calling me at all or answering my messages? What could have happened? It turned out there was a traffic accident on the road that was blocking the flow of vehicles. And he couldn’t call or text coz he’s driving.

But yeah, Madonna is right… time really goes by very, very slow when you’re waiting (hungry and tired).

Yesterday - We were resting on the grass in front of the massive and impressive structure of Reichstag building in Berlin when little C caught sight of a Russian boy playfully posing for his dad’s camera.  Without any hesitation and too happy to find a new playmate, little C hurriedly crawled towards him and befriended him.

Later on, whenever the boy would ran, little C would crawl after him too.  It was an amusing sight!

Some friends have been asking me about my web hosting company coz they want to compare the services and packages with what their host is offering. They’re planning to create new websites and they want to know which hosting company offers the best in terms of services and prices. Though my provider isn’t the best, I can say that it fulfills most of the criteria I’m looking for a web host which unfortunately don’t seem to be good for my friends. Instead I told them to look for other hosting companies such as Networks Solutions which might provide them with their needs.

Last Saturday’s weather was better than today.  Even when it was cold at least the sun came out several times hence we were able to have a great time at a friend’s weekend house in Lipence; so did little C. But today might be a different story. I guess it’s going to be raining all day.  Well, let it rain then, it will make the plants happy. We’ve decided to just stay at home anyway so we don’t tire ourselves as we’re going on a trip to Berlin tomorrow.

Sounds very interesting, aye? Hmmm, now I have to give myself that push and start working smart with my internet ventures.

I hadn’t realized until yesterday how extremely big Prague Castle (Prasky Hrad) is. According to my sis it’s one of the biggest ancient castles in the Guinness Book of World Records and yesterday I had the chance to see it for myself when we (my sis, little C and I) strolled around the huge castle complex. I’ve been to the castle few times to see the St. Vitus Cathedral and some adjacent parts but never ventured far. Too bad my parents weren’t able to see the rest of the castle grounds and the gardens when they were here; there was just too much to see in a day!

*Thank God for the kindness of a Brazilian couple who helped us carry little C’s stroller up the stairs from the Garden on the Ramparts.

She usually complains that her husband’s salary isn’t enough to pay for all their expenses and financial obligations; they have to oftentimes avail of Payday Advances. Well it’s tough for them coz they only rely on her husband’s salary.
