Babies are adorable huh? Strangers would warm up as soon as they see little C and start a conversation just so they could play with her. Usually I’d get asked if my baby is a boy or girl. A friend reacted sarcastically, “Are they color blind? Can’t they see she’s wearing pink?” I guess dressing up my baby with colors associated with girls isn’t enough to identify her as one, at least for some people. One time I even placed a fresh flower behind her ear ala Hawaiian style and still get asked the gender question.
If you’ve been visiting my blog, you’d notice that my little girl has little hair that’s why she’s usually mistaken as a boy. How can I place hair accessories such as hair pins or ribbons on her hair when she’s almost bald? My mom told me I was also bald when I was a baby. Funny thing is, M used to be a bald baby too! I don’t know when little C’s hair will grow so I can use the hair accessories I bought her. I bought plenty of those cute pins when we went shopping the other day.
I’ve been shopping for baby clothes for my girl but what a big disappointment to find out after a week that the clothes have become small for my ever growing baby. Some of the clothes I bought don’t have buttons or have small neck holes which make dressing up difficult.
After learning my lesson I’m now conscious of the style and size of baby clothes when I go shopping. When buying Baby Clothes I choose those that have buttons, zippers or elastic necklines which makes the clothes adjustable as the baby grows. I also choose a bigger size not those that exactly fit her current size so she can still wear it even when she grows bigger. Another shopping tip is to buy when clothes are on sale to save extra money.

Seeing some ladies driving their sedans or SUVs around or seeing those sleek new cars being displayed in the malls sometimes make me wish I have one for myself. I even pasted a cutout picture of a car in my dream board before. I don’t really intend to drive those big vans, just a medium-sized sedan would do. Anyway, I remember how my sis-in-law in Cebu would drive us around the city in their brand new Toyota. This brand is one of my options should I decide to get one for myself in the future.

at her aunt’s bedroom…
Apart from eating, little C’s favorite hobby is playing. Any kid loves it of course. We made several play areas for her inside the house so she can play where ever we are; in the living room if everyone is watching TV or just sharing conversations, in my sister’s bedroom (she borrows little C most of the time), and also in our room. But her main camp is in the living room. It looks like a fortress with the cushion pillows lying all around her just in case she falls. At least she won’t hurt her head.

Occasions especially Valentines Day is blessing for florists and flower shops. With the demand of supply, they can jack up the prices of their beautiful blooms and make more money. Each year though, we’re never short of occasions to celebrate which involves flowers. Every day there is a person celebrating a birthday whom you can send flowers to. There are weddings happening especially on the months of June and December. Then there’s day to honor our dead loved ones, another very lucrative time for flower shops. And who can forget yet another special occasion that’s coming very soon? I’m referring to Mother’s Day – a day when its certain children would send bouquets of pretty flowers to their moms.

I miss Jelly Belly (JB)! If you’re in US, you can’t miss this colorful jelly beans in various flavors! This is one of my favorite requests from friends in US to send me. It has been years since I last ate JB. I even forgot about it altogether but for some unexplainable reason I am craving for it now.
I logged in to Quickshop and typed in Jelly Belly. Weee what a surprise! I found an online shop that sells JB and even delivers within Europe! Actually there were plenty of other shops that came up in the search results which make Quickshop a nice place to search coz it gives you plenty of options. Read the rest of this entry »

February 17th, 2008today…
After the Mass, we ate a quick lunch in a Chinese fastfood shop and headed to Tesco to buy plastic bibs for little C. Unfortunately they didn’t have those so I went to the toy section and skimmed through their displays. The shopping itch tempted me to pick few interesting items. I figured I’ll buy some as pasalubong for my kiddo cousin; a Polly Pocket doll set and an inflatable beach bug and catch-a-ball set for any kid I’d fancy giving it to.

I also bought a sippy cup for little C coz she’s already interested in drinking from the glass. I just have to take off the lid so she can drink like an adult. Last night I tried letting her drink pineapple juice from the glass and she didn’t want to let go of it. I was afraid she’d eat the whole glass! Haha
Dang, weekend is almost over… I wish it would last forever.
