Our washing machine (well, the flat owner’s, that is) got busted a week ago. M looked online for a replacement, found one and went to the store to buy it, only to find out that it costs about a $100 more when bought from the store. Phew! Ordering online would take almost a week for the order to be delivered. So what? $100 is a lot of money to waste. Besides, we can wait for a week and deal with the consequences – a high pile of laundry and I had to wash the kids’ clothes and underwear by hand. It wasn’t so bad, only that the kids change their clothes many times in a day!
When our order came, it was marathon washing for me, I mean for the machine. hehe I can say I’m glad the old washing machine died on us, coz now I’ve got a better one. It can load up to 6 kilos, it shows the duration of the washing, it has button controls, and it doesn’t leave white stains on our dark-colored clothes. Just great!
A word of advice friends, if you plan to buy something, whether its a mobile phone, a computer, an electronic toy or the most effective weight loss pills, check it out online first. Usually online stores sell cheap coz they don’t have to spend money on store rentals. If we didn’t look online before purchasing our new washing machine, we wouldn’t have known that we can get it $100 lesser!
Caity gets excited whenever we prepare to go out. While her Papa is driving, she’d say over and over “Go to Robinson’s. Go to Robinson’s” Like earlier, we had to go to the bank to pay for my orders from FB. She thinks we’re going to Robinson’s again. Fortunately for her though, I really had to stop there coz she and Adie were running out of milk. I wonder why she likes going to the malls. SM is another of her favorites.
Maybe because she likes running in the air-conditioned mall without sweating?

I’m up early on a Sunday morning! Caity woke up a couple of times in the night and I had problems falling back to sleep. I thought I might as well go online shopping while the kids are asleep.
Last night I found some cute kiddie leggings for sale, posted in Facebook by a friend’s friend. I’m choosing which designs to order now. Unfortunately there aren’t much to choose from coz most of the items are already sold out. Baby stuff are in demand! Its a good business to be in. If you sell quality baby things with pretty designs especially the essentials, it will surely sell well, just like food (coz everyone gets hungry!) or insurance (coz people need it!), even 5th wheel insurance for rv owners. As a mom, I can’t resist buying cute stuff for my kids.
Gotta get back to shopping before the kids wake up and before my choices disappear!!!
I wanted to buy a digital frame a couple of years ago as a christmas gift for someone special but it was too pricey. I just couldn’t afford to spend so much money on a single person especially during that season when there are many others to give gifts to. Well I guess now I can afford it coz while browsing the internet earlier, I chanced upon discounted photo frames for as low as 60% off the original price. Weeee! But I still have yet to let M check the specifications and features of the item coz I am not good with electronic products. Who knows it might not even be a great choice; sometimes cheap stuff aren’t of good quality. I’m keeping my fingers crossed coz there’s an upcoming special occasion which will be a perfect time to give a digital photo frame as a gift!
As promised, I am showing you some of the books I bought in the spring bazaar. I still can’t get over how dirt cheap they cost! They’re almost like give-aways!

We did get some items for free! Pocketbooks and a bag for T etc. etc….. Whew!
There’s another bazaar coming up this weekend. T and I are planning to go there again hoping to hit a treasure of inexpensive-yet-still-in-superb-condition-stuff. Ugh! Now I’m loving shopping! Walking back and forth, here and there looking for great items can burn fats and might work like apidexin. It’s a wonderful stress-buster too. But only when I get more for the little money I have! teehee!
We went to a spring bazaar last Saturday with my friend to sell some of our unwanted used things but ended up not selling a single thing! How did that happen? When we arrived to the venue, the affair has already started. We thought of spying first inside as we were feeling apprehensive to sell our stuff coz the other sellers have already set-up their wares. Our jaws dropped and eyes grew bigger when we saw the displays. There were children’s books still in good condition and were sold very cheap! It was so irresistibly tempting! It was like finding a gold mine. My friend and I were browsing at the books excitedly, picking which to buy and forgot the real reason why we went there. 
Sale, sale, sale!
Manning the tables were small kids about 7-8 year old, with the supervision of their parents. It’s amazing to see these kids let go of their their toys, books and other personal stuff. I don’t know if it was hard for them to give up their favorites. But they seem to enjoy playing the role of salesgirls/boys; charging the customers, giving the change; even without cash drawers like mmf drawer, they still did a good job.
Anyway, we were very happy with our shopping finds. You can tell from the smile on our faces.

Who wouldn’t be happy when they sell books for only 20 or 10 crowns each which looked like they’ve never been read! I’ll show some of the items I bought next time.

Let’s say your friend’s baby shower party is almost here and you’re still thinking about what to give. Well, I didn’t have this dilemma because I was the one expecting a child and my friends organized the party for me. 
Here are some suggestions from a second-time Mom:
Baby pillows, blankets, and beddings
Diaper cakes (yes, they’re not only practical but cute as well)
Baby bath products
Terry washcloths, cotton towels, and burp pads
Car seat
Bob stroller
Baby hats, gloves, socks and booties
Baby books and educational toys
There you go! Just take your pick and choose something that’s creatively designed and baby-friendly. Hmmm… anything else to add to the list?
After many unsuccessful clothing purchases, I almost gave up on online shopping. Most of them were too big for me, others just don’t fit me well. Sigh…if only international shipping isn’t expensive! Sadly, I didn’t have any other option but to give it one more try because I really can’t find any maternity jeans here in Prague that will fit me. Petite pregnant women who are in the US are fortunate coz they have many choices when it comes to small-sized maternity clothing.
Anyway, I got hold of my order from last month yesterday and I was very, very happy coz it fits me to a tee! I should have bought plenty but well, I didn’t want to take the risk since I wasn’t sure yet if it’s right for me. But now that I already know what’s the exact size that fits me from this store, I can always add more later.
After many tries and errors, I can say thanks to online shopping! From clothing to industrial supplies , electronics to baby stuff, and everything else, you can find whatever it is you’re looking for (as long as you know how to search).
Little C’s Czech made kiddie table and chairs finally arrived last week. I had already lost hope of ever receiving it coz of the loooong wait (was it two months or more?) but just when I least expected it, it came. Great!
The only consolation there was that it was a cash-on-delivery (COD) transaction. We got a delivery receipt printed in advance from a receipt printer after paying. If they didn’t send the product, we don’t lose anything. But even when we didn’t pay beforehand, waiting for it was frustrating. M had to call them many times to follow-up our order and being such a busy man, it ate up a whole lot of his precious time. Anyway, all the disappointments vanished as soon as we opened the package and saw how happy little C was.

We ordered online a set of animal-designed kiddie table and chairs for little C more than 2 weeks ago. The color that we chose unfortunately ran out of stock that’s why the delivery was delayed but hopefully this week it will be here. I’m already excited for the little girl! We make do with her plastic toy box as her table and her pink piggy stool as chair for some time; it’s about time she has a proper furniture set where she can sit, color, write and do other creative activities. I’m sure she will be thrilled coz whenever she sees chairs and table in play areas or in her doctor’s clinic, she would immediately sit on one of the chairs.
