I got it for my birthday.

The person who gave this doesn’t know me very well. I don’t drink coffee. I don’t care about coffee makers, coffee canisters or coffee except when I bake chocolate cake. But guess what? I am grateful to receive this gift coz M is a big coffee drinker. For a long time, we put his ground coffee on an empty bottle of a choco powder drink. So thanks to that angel who gave me the nice coffee canister. M’s coffee now has a decent home.
I’m done venting out. It sure helped to unload negative feelings but I’m up and about again with many things to be grateful for. =)
- Little C’s fever is gone. Thank God! She had it on weekend but yesterday, she was finally okay though she still has runny nose and rashes started to come out of her face and arms last Monday. When she was vaccinated, the doctor said that a week after, she might have fever and rashes – which are normal reactions from the vaccination and she really did. I hope she’ll be 100% well soon coz having a sick child isn’t easy; little C has been clingy and whiny.

The sun’s too bright!
- Grasya who’s going home to Philippines for a month’s visit has offered her delivery services to me for free. You know how expensive courier companies can charge for packages and I’m getting it for free! When she flies back to Prague, she will be bringing something for me. =)
- A week ago, a friend confided that her husband was sacked from his job. That’s really a big blow to them! Then on Monday, M called to inform me that 60% of their employees were kicked out. Uhuh! The good news is that M wasn’t included in that number. So even if M is swamped with work, we’re grateful that he still has his job. How about a toast of the wine of the month for that?
- And lastly, my kind parents-in-law have been helping me a great deal while M is away. In fact, they’re coming over tomorrow to take care of little C while I do some shopping. Mam even asked dad to drive me to the store coz I might need help in carrying my purchases. How thoughtful! Anyway, little C will be thrilled to see them again and it’s a good chance for her to bond with her grandparents.

God is watching out for me and sending me His love through these circumstances, how can I not be happy?

I feel like a runner in a race that’s never going to end. It’s tiring. All I was looking forward to was reaching the finish line but unfortunately just when I’m only a mile away, somebody decided to add another hundred mile for me to run. =( So yes, the race isn’t over. I’m still running and hoping that whatever energy I have left is enough to see me through this race.
Cheer for me please!

Do you hate numbers? Well, sorry mate we can’t escape them! They’re everywhere and are essential part of our lives. I myself got some numbers I check on a regular basis aside from the clock
. These are some of those numbers:

Days go by so slow when you’re waiting for someone special huhuhu…

What’s the weather gonna be like today, for the whole week…? I have Accuweather to count on that. It helps me decide on what I should wear when going out and which would be a nice day to take little C out.

How much is the value of my dollars in pesos? That’s one thing I’m curious about. =)

Not quite! But I’m looking forward to seeing M again! =) That will will be two weeks from now! Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Can I have the snow minus the cold temperature please?

Prague snow pic was sent by maminka.

are numbers yet they signify very important events in our lives. There are dates we look forward to and dates we dread like plague. Lately, I’m in that mixed-up situation but hey, I’m still alive!
July 22 – has passed already. Starting that day my life has become more challenging though I won’t tell why.
July 27 – a special date!
July 31 – looking forward to this one.
August 7 – another date to look forward to!!!
“Does our car need an oil wrench filter?” I overheard a conversation from a couple while waiting for our turn in the cashier. I have a hunch they were husband and wife. It’s not my business listening to other people’s conversation but they were talking loudly, so… Anyway I didn’t anymore hear what the guy’s response was coz they already paid then left the cashier.
Curious as what this tool is, I asked M. Hehehe, was he surprised why I was asking? I even asked him if our car needs one too. Nosy me! Anyway, maybe you’re curious what it is too, so in simple words, it’s basically a wrench needed to change the oil filter in the car.

Have you read the story of the blind men and the elephant? Recent happenings have made me recall that story which is said to have originated from South Asia. Anyway the gist of the story is that an elephant was brought to the blind men to touch and feel and then share among themselves their experience based on their interaction with the huge animal.
Since the elephant is big, each of them touched only a part, like the tail or the ears or the legs. In the end their findings turned out to be completely different from each other.
So what’s the lesson? Different people have different beliefs and opinions based on what they have experienced. Sometimes we judge and misjudge a person because of one incident and tend to generalize it. Just because one ate a sour apple doesn’t mean all apples are sour; just because it was flooding in January, all the months will be flooding; just because one ate a sweet mango then he concludes all mangoes are sweet… We are blinded by our biases and beliefs and experiences or anger perhaps?

After too much work and lack of sleep, the man is down with fever; a high temperature of 38.7C last night!. He’s finally forced to take a leave and recuperate at home.
Is it bad of me if I say that I am glad he’s sick? Weee but it’s nice to have him at home even if he’s lying in bed most of the time. Too bad he’ll work tomorrow already. But then it’s the last working day of the week! yeyyyy… weekend again!
Teehee! That post below was written when I was angsty, but hey it lasted only for an hour. After I wrote that piece, little C and I took a nap. When M came back, we all went out for a walk even if it was almost 6pm. Our first stop was the small grocery store beside our flat where we bought some munchies for us to nibble while walking then off we headed to the grassy clearing behind the store.
All is well now. And yes despite the little inconveniences we’re experiencing once in a while, we’re still SO BLESSED! Thank you Lord!
