Being the youngest in the brood of five, I grew up influenced by my sibling’s musical taste. Our eldest brother was a band member, playing the bass guitar. They would play the music of The Police in their gigs and concerts and in his room hangs posters of his favorite bands; one of these is The Police. So at a young age I was already familiar with The Police’ hits such as King of Pain, Roxanne, Every Little Thing She Does is Magic, Don’t Stand So Close, De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da and with Every Breath You Take being one of my favorites.

January 31st, 2008the man & the baby

M arrived alright, empty-handed. After work, he went straight to the pub with his friends for a night of beer drinking leaving his notebook in the office. That means I don’t have the Mozart mp3s yet!

And yes, little C is an official insomniac na! waaaaaaaaa what happened to her all of a sudden??? Why can’t she sleep on her own? To quote myself“It’s frustrating, just when I figured out how to make her sleep, she’s already defying the routine!” It has been three days/nights na. Uhuhuhu… Another unexpected phase and challenge in my motherhood.

November 18th, 2007the music of Europe

Reading about Music Travel by Carrie Katz from Real Travel makes me excited. Most of the countries she mentioned that are tops in the list for music buffs are here in Europe. As we all know Europe has produced some of the world’s famous musical geniuses such as Mozart and Haydn from Austria and Beethoven and Strauss from Germany.

Next month, Czech Republic will be part of Schengen territories so that makes travelling easier for me as I won’t experience the hassles of visa processing. I’m already looking forward visiting the neighboring European countries. Czech has on its borders the countries of Austria and Germany.

Early this year I was able to watch a ballet of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” at the National Theater which was truly amazing. That makes me curious as to what the other European countries has to offer in terms of music; a concert or a ballet would be nice to watch.
