October 31st, 2010when it’s not safe

We went to Angie’s place earlier to pick up some few things and the mango she promised me. :) They live in a place where there are plenty of gypsies residing. I don’t want to generalize coz not all of them are bad, but they have a reputation for being notorious. My friend already lost their van one New Year’s eve (what a baddd way to welcome the new year!), then recently (she just told me), even if their van has an alarm, somebody still dared to break the front glass and stole their radio. When they looked out from their window, the thief was nowhere to be found! Scary! Well, we once parked at a playground near their building and when we came back few hours after, I noticed that a car parked on the other side has shattered wind shield.

I think I can’t sleep well if I live in an area like that. I might get paranoid and might not like going out especially at night. Oh, and I’d probably ask M to install security cameras outside our building and even in our front door as safety precautions. There’s also a Flash GPS Reporter that tracks where the vehicle goes to. If Angie has this safety gadget placed in their van, they could have tracked down the thieves!

On a side note, the mango that Angie gave was sweet, but it still couldn’t beat the yellow mango of the Philippines!

October 31st, 2010looking like a little man

I found baby A very cute in his get up earlier. He looked like a little man already. Weeee He is 9 months old by the way. It’s is unbelievable how fast this baby is growing. Even when I’m around him most of the time, it still feels like I missed some parts of his growth!

Anyway, here are the pics which I took before we left for church.

Baby A sitting in the big puzzle with underwater art prints.

Playing with the plush soccer ball.

@ 9 months: He’s got two lower teeth in the middle.  He loves crawling and standing.  He likes playing with her big sister. And beware, he loves putting anything in his mouth!  Eating, he likes it too!

*Thanks to Baba for the nice shirt.

October 30th, 2010a taste of thai

I had a long overdue birthday gift waiting to be claimed from Lilian which I didn’t know when I can have the time for it. It has been over a year! She has been reminding me, but /me scratches head… when???

Then last week she asked me if its okay for her to bring the therapist to our house. Whoa! Home service! That’s something special!

So finally the day came, she arrived together with the therapist, a Thai woman who turned out to be a good cook too. Before giving me the massage, she and Lilian busied themselves in the kitchen to cook a Thai food. I thought they will only make one dish, but weeee…. the Thai was a magician of some sort, coz she magically made 4 dishes in a span of two hours, or maybe less.

Unfortunately our other friends couldn’t come, so it was only the three of us who enjoyed the superb, delicious and spicy meal.

Awesome!

Then the traditional thai massage followed. Weeee! Lilian even watched over the kids while I laid down helplessly in the cushion pillows.

Thank you dear Lilian for bringing Thailand to our home that day! I immensely enjoyed it.

My angel for that day… Madame Lilian!

It will be Christmas soon once again!

We went to the mall last weekend and they were already displaying lots of toys. Its always like that in this particular store whenever Christmas is near. Of course, Caity was excited to see so many toys. She was even delighted to see a Buzz toy, only it was from Lego with suggested age for 5-7 years old. Not good to buy her coz she will only destroy it. Maybe when she turns 5, that is, if she still likes Buzz when the time comes.

Anyway, with Christmas only a few weeks away, ,most of us will be thrown into
the dilemma of choosing gifts for our loved ones. As much as I like giving, the problem of WHAT to give poses a big problem. hehe With friends who are far, you can easily send out season’s greetings through Christmas Cards, but what about those living within your area?

The best thing to do is… better start racking your brains early for Christmas gifts ideas. You have over a month to do that! I mean, I (as in ME)!

October 27th, 2010hgh?

Oh oh, I’ve found something interesting – anything that claims to “build lean muscle mass, reduce wrinkles, improve the skin, increase energy, and revitalize health and wellness” is surely attractive. So I read some more. Who knows I can get something out of it to help me with my wellness….and beauty of course.

But it seems this hgh releasers may be better. Is taking this the safe and effective way to achieve one’s goals of beauty and wellness? Provided there is not any form of synthetic HGH injections, for surely this will not be safe anymore.

You know, anything synthetic is not natural, so this will cause damage due to side effects. In everything we do, it is really better to go natural. Better be careful!

In choosing supplements, good considerations are: safety, ingredient quality, customer feedback, company reputation; you can add reorder rates and customer service.

October 26th, 2010drink your milk, little boy!

Baby A is lately fond of eating that sometimes he refuses to drink his milk. Sometimes he is distracted with his sister’s noise in the background, a slight noise from Caity would make him stop feeding and turn his head towards the sound. Ugh! I wish I can tell him and that he’d understand me that milk is still very essential for his growth and development. But no worries, coz when he drinks his milk, he drinks plenty! And this little boy will definitely be a tall man someday. Unlike his mama who’s so small hahaha. I think my hgh human growth hormone stopped producing at an early age. Huhuhu for me! :P

October 25th, 2010weight problems? try this

I’ve been reading Cory Quirino’s articles in Inquirer’s Lifestyle section, and found something that’s very useful. These are weight loss tips!!!

I know someone very close who’s following a low carb diet. According to the article, though this will make you lose weight fast, you will also find yourself out of energy too. Its advisable to still eat carbs during the day, but choose the complex ones such as weet potatoes, muti-grain breads and brown or red rice. Carbs should be avoided at night.

And here’s another tip that is guaranteed by Cory to produce result in three days! Simply go green! She said it will make your waistline smaller, like magic.

Hmmmm… interesting. Got to start loading up our ref with veggies? :D

October 23rd, 2010out on a sunny saturday

When it’s been raining for days and suddenly the sun pops out on a Saturday morning, its hard to resist the call to enjoy a sunny autumn. If normally we would spend the weekend cleaning the flat and doing other house chores, we skipped the work and headed outside with the kids.

First stop was the playground for Caity to play.

Then we headed to the forest, but we didn’t walk for long coz we passed another playground and Caity pulled me there excitedly. “Mama! Mama! Playgrounddddd! Come Mama! Comeeee!” hahaha  Let’s call it playground-hopping!

The boys… :) Baby A is sleeping inside the stroller.

We ended our family bonding with a trip to a nearby grocery store for some food. Caity couldn’t make up her mind which to pick as there were plenty of candies and goodies displayed ready for Halloween’s trick or treat.  In the end, she chose the penguin chocolate (too cute to eat actually!) and a pack of Jojo jelly.

It’s a pity to let this beautiful day pass without a picture to treasure the moment.

And according to my weather forecaster, we will have a whole week of sun! Yehey! Time to let those women’s rain boots and umbrellas rest even for just a week.

October 22nd, 2010what’s epiduo?

As I’ve been conscious of my skin sensitivity, I read the literature of whatever skin treatment, be it ointment or gel, that comes my way. It will help me know what are good for me or not.

I’ve come across the epiduo, a derma gel mostly for acne, the generic name of which is “adapalene and benzoyl peroxide”. It is therefore a combination of adapalene, which is similar to vitamin A, which helps the skin renew itself. Benzoyl peroxide on the other hand is anti-bacterial; it allows excess oil and dirt to be easily washed away from the skin.

Will this be good for me? I wonder. I may try it one time, but only after checking with my dermatologist, and see if she recommends it.

October 16th, 2010playing with clay

I’ve noticed that Caity is fond of creating or building things. She likes playing with toys that can form into robots, animals, etc. She is also fond of her fake lego; building towers, castles or anything that she wants and imagines.

Last week, I bought her (another) clay for her to get busy with. It sure did keep her occupied while we had dinner with my cousin and uncle. It wasn’t only the little girl that enjoyed the clay, even my cousin and I had fun playing with the clay after we finished our food.

Caity making her “strawberry chocolate”.. whatever that is. :)

Caity’s creation at the left, and my pizza.

My cousin Aimee’s pretty rose.

It’s hard to say what Caity will become in the future, but exposing her to many fields of interest will give her plenty of options.  She might be interested with music or art or science or health care careers, its only time that can tell.
