I was sorting out my wardrobe and have taken out clothes I won’t be needing anymore. They’re lying in the other room waiting for their judgement day. I am thinking of auctioning them online but it takes time to do this. I have to take pictures then edit them, take measurements, post in the internet… It’s a long process. But I’ve got to do something if I want to clean my closet. I started with taking pictures last night.

Spring has indeed come! Colorful flowers are in bloom, birds are chirping happily, the sun is shining brightly and the people are already dressed in interesting get-ups.
One favorite thing I like doing is people-watching and since it was warm earlier, some people were already dressed in summery outfit. So while I was lying down in the park, my eyes were roaming around, observing people and fashion.

These girls look like models – svelte bodies with long legs and fashionably dressed too. Too bad I couldn’t see if they’re wearing Christian Louboutin shoes.

Girls wearing shorts was a common sight. They just couldn’t wait for summer eh.

And plenty of people sunbathing to get tanned…
The weekend’s almost over but it’s okay coz we had fun! Well, we made up for the lack of family bonding by taking advantage of the last two days spending time outdoor with the kids. It was great! We were blessed with two perfect days for picnicking. Little Caity was very happy to be running around the wide grass field in Dendrologická Zahrada on Saturday and playing with other kids in the playground at Petřín today. Seeing our little girl having fun made us happy as well. Baby A on the other-hand has been sleeping most of the time, but woke up when he was hungry and was able to enjoy the sunny day too even for a short while.

Run Caity, run!

Our smiling little boy…
Since we got home from the park earlier, we’re squeezing the little time left for grocery shopping, cleaning the flat, washing and ironing clothes, etc. Whew! Everything is almost in order now. Both kids are tucked in their crib/bed giving me time to blog, upload pictures on facebook and check what’s the best diet supplements .
I am glad things turned out pretty well.
I can’t wait for the next weekend to come for another family outing, that is, if the weather is nice.
Good news! M finally had the longest vacation leave from work which started Monday. It’s a long overdue leave for 2009 which had been postponed and delayed many times coz they have plenty of work in the office. He didn’t even get to have a break during the time I needed his help the most, which was during my post-partum days. So this is like a miracle that he has 5 days straight off from work.
Anyway, I was looking forward to spending quality time with hubby and the kids for the whole week which sadly didn’t turn out the way I expected it to be. Aside from that I also had such a long list of things to do in my mind, what we will be doing for the week, like taking care of some insurance documents, fixing and arranging the flat, errands to the shop, etc. The bad news? None of it was accomplished or finished… and it’s already Friday.
I was looking at the promotional calenders earlier and wondered when we can ever have time for ourselves and other stuff we need to do. This might be the last time for him to have a week off coz his 2010 vacation leave is already allocated for something else.
Here’s an equation I’ve formulated just now:
mom of two + digital camera = lots of pictures!

happy Caity and baby Adie!

Caity playing with Dad

baby Adie feeling comfortable with Dad carrying him

It’s the glorious season of spring and we welcomed it with a visit last weekend to a friend’s homey cottage outside of Praha. While we were enjoying ourselves despite the cold weather, my little girl C kept herself busy tinkering around. Aside from wandering in the garden, she picked up a gardening tool and played with it.
Here are some pics to give you an idea:

It’s day 5 of treatment of the sore in my hand. The previous lumps around the original sore looks alright now, but there are new ones growing around it making the infected area bigger.
It makes me wonder if the ichthammol cream is really effective in fighting off the infection just like how diabetic socks reduce the risk of infection of foot ulcer in a diabetic person.
Actually the doctor prescribed me an antibiotic but canceled it when she knew that I am breastfeeding. Maybe the combination of ichthammol + antibiotic would have been a potent mix against my skin problem. Anyway, I am taking a megadose of vital C as an added treatment.
There’s a sore on my hand that (1) grew and (2) turned from bad to worse. I realized situation 2 on Friday night and was saddened coz clinics are closed on weekends. I had to wait for Monday and in the meantime we (me and M) did our own home remedy by dabbing the ugly thing with Betadine. It didn’t really get better.
We went to the dermatologist yesterday and was given these medicines for treatment:

The ointment Saloxyl has a main ingredient named ichthammol which is used to treat skin diseases such as eczema, acne and psoriasis. It is black in color and its strong smell reminds of me of the smell of asphalt.
Today is day 2 of treatment. I’m praying tomorrow my skin will have some good improvements. I don’t want to be bothered with this anymore.
Enoughhhhh!
She lives in Hawaii, as all of the members of her family are now there. Before, they were in Guam when the family migrated from the Philippines. At 73, she doesn’t look her age, especially as she goes for casual wear like cargo walking shorts and spaghetti t-shirts when times are hot, as in during summer. Her face is powdery fine and almost wrinkle-free, though she doesn’t apply anything on it, no wrinkle crèmes, not even face powder, if you believe me. But it’s really true!

Furnishing on a budget is challenging. With so many things to spend for, one has to make a painstaking research and compare materials which don’t cost too much but still look classy and appealing.
Good thing there are cheap alternatives to the real thing, such as the faux wood blinds that my sister used in the condo unit which I mentioned few posts ago.

Here you can see that aside from the living room, the kitchen window also used the faux wood blinds.
With more than 6 window panels in the unit, big amount of money was saved as there’s no need to provide curtains anymore. While curtains need to be regularly cleaned, washed and pressed; care and maintenance of wood-like blinds is easier, just wipe with damp cloth and you’re done.
