Have we become very high tech that stores don’t sell stationeries or writing pads anymore? Or am I just living in a place where these cute writing essentials are not so common? Or maybe, I was looking at the wrong place?

I had an invitation from a blogger in US asking if we can be pen pals. Weeee! Do I? I had to ask myself when was the last time I wrote a letter using pen and paper and if I still know how to write. My writings have been downgraded to grocery lists the past years. Uhuh! It must be over a year since I last wrote a letter. No! It wasn’t even a letter! It was only a short note on a postcard.

Naturally I was delighted to form a friendship with her, but with my crazy schedule and tons of work, I was never able to do it this week. Oh and I wanted to buy a nice writing paper for my first correspondence with her. Since we usually go to the mall on weekends to shop for our week’s supply, I took the chance to buy the paper there (at Tesco). It was a big disappointment! There were no stationeries at all! Not a single piece! M said there’s a small paperstore outside which we went to after our grocery shopping.

I expected there will be plenty of stationeries in a PAPERSTORE, I was thrilled. I can imagine it stacked with rows and rows of beautiful and adorable papers. I used to collect and swap stationeries when I was a kid, so the thought of owning them again got me excited. But the excitement was short lived. There were only few (less than 10) design choices. Not much to choose from. Sigh.
