I’m not yet ready to part with my eyeglasses. I bought it only 4 months ago! So we tried to go to the optical near us and asked if they can fix it. We were advised to have it repaired in the store where I bought it as they usually have spare parts for their frames. That can’t be coz I bought mine from a far away island in the Southeast Asia. Ha! The pretty girl gave us another option; look for a small optical shop where they might be accepting repairs. Since it was Friday, small shops were closed for the weekend. I couldn’t bear living without my eyeglasses for another day coz my head was already aching from balancing the one-legged glasses I have.

So I let *Mr. Handyman fix it instead. And it’s fixed! Fixed as in repaired, good as new! And fixed as in the leg he attached can’t be folded, immovable! Hahaha. That’s because he glued it with super glue! =) its fine with me. I am happy that I can see clearly again and that my pair of specs is back to where it should be.
*Mr. Handyman is M, my hubby =)

=( Silly me! I shouldn’t have left my eyeglasses lying on the table within little C’s reach. Now it’s broken - my 4-month old photochromic eyeglasses! I was watching a movie that moved me to tears, so I took off my eyeglasses to wipe my wet eyes. Then I forgot all about it, until I noticed the silent little C playing with it. Duhhhh! How can I be so reckless? Remind me not to watch tear-jerker movies again.
Having a digital camera makes snapping pictures very easy. I can take all the shots I want as long as my battery lasts and the memory can hold. I can choose which ones to keep and which to delete. And because of that convenience, my photo files are increasing each day!
Most of the photos stored in my album are those of little C. Her photos and videos are eating up a lot of disk space! And she’s barely 13 months old! I take her pics almost on a daily basis. Geeez, imagine how much disk space I’ll need and add as her collection grows?

Whenever we travel, we usually ask from friends who have been to place before for any recommendations on accommodations, the places to see, what to do and what not to do and other essential information that one needs before disembarking on a trip.

A photo posted in Sosauce Travel
Their tips and advises have been very helpful in having a smooth-sailing travel free from hassles. But for cases when we don’t have anyone to ask for information, we’d search over the internet. There are many travel sites that offers tons of information on any places of destination. Among these sites is Sosauce Travel, an interactive website where travelers share their experiences in their online journal; they also upload photos, videos and offer tips to other readers. This travel community has got almost all places covered. If you want to go to India, there’s a post about India by Edward Bally; if you search Ecuador, there’s Howard with his trip itinerary, photos and stories. You won’t run out of travel information from So Sauce.

While rummaging on our drawers the other night looking for my postcard collection, I saw a sealed paper bag lying amidst the pile of folders. Who owns it? I opened the bag and saw familiar pieces of souvenirs - souvenirs which were bought when we went to Cesky Krumlov. My mom forgot this while packing up in haste the night before their departure for Philippines. With the numerous souvenirs she collected from her Europe trip, it’s no surprise that she overlooked these:

You still want these mom? =)
Since the prohibition on buying and selling domain names in Australian has been lifted since last June 1, 2008, there’s a surge in domain name market. Some of the early registrants of popular and premium .com.au domain names are selling these domains at high prices. Good for them! They will surely be making lots of money from Sales of com.au domain names! An example would be the business.com.au which is being auction with a high starting price of $1,000,000. Who wants to get that one? It makes me wish I have bought a popular domain name before. I could have earned big $ from it! Heh!
Anyway, you can read more of the interesting domain name frenzy in Australia in the press release below.
Internet gold rush is on.
A major shift in policy from auDA, Australia’s domain name regulator has lead to an explosion in .au domain name trading.
Effective from 1st June 2008, the change means that Australians can now buy and sell domain names for profit resulting in a boom in virtual real estate speculation.
Domain names are the backbone of the internet and often aptly described as virtual real estate. Indeed, thousands of domainers around the world make their living from these online properties by buying, selling and even renting to people and businesses that have a connection to the domain name
Now, with this new legislation, the industry has arrived in Australia with a bang. The prospect of turning a $30 registration fee into a 6 figure sale is probably consigned to history but one thing is sure, with 1.2 million .au domain names already registered, supply of premium domains becomes tighter and tighter leading to a surge in domain name valuations.

Have we become very high tech that stores don’t sell stationeries or writing pads anymore? Or am I just living in a place where these cute writing essentials are not so common? Or maybe, I was looking at the wrong place?
I had an invitation from a blogger in US asking if we can be pen pals. Weeee! Do I? I had to ask myself when was the last time I wrote a letter using pen and paper and if I still know how to write. My writings have been downgraded to grocery lists the past years. Uhuh! It must be over a year since I last wrote a letter. No! It wasn’t even a letter! It was only a short note on a postcard.
Naturally I was delighted to form a friendship with her, but with my crazy schedule and tons of work, I was never able to do it this week. Oh and I wanted to buy a nice writing paper for my first correspondence with her. Since we usually go to the mall on weekends to shop for our week’s supply, I took the chance to buy the paper there (at Tesco). It was a big disappointment! There were no stationeries at all! Not a single piece! M said there’s a small paperstore outside which we went to after our grocery shopping.
I expected there will be plenty of stationeries in a PAPERSTORE, I was thrilled. I can imagine it stacked with rows and rows of beautiful and adorable papers. I used to collect and swap stationeries when I was a kid, so the thought of owning them again got me excited. But the excitement was short lived. There were only few (less than 10) design choices. Not much to choose from. Sigh.
Do you know that sitting for long period especially during travel (long flights or road trip) can be harmful to your legs? Blood clotting can develop in the legs when the muscles are inactive throughout the trip. Leg muscles are responsible for helping the blood flow back to your heart and without any leg movements; the blood circulation slows down thus developing into blood clots. This condition is what they call the Travel Thrombosis, Economy Class Syndrome and Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).
This can be prevented by wearing Travel Socks by Kendall that are specially designed to provide circulation and reduce leg swelling. In fact, hospitals have been using Kendall Travel Socks in their patients to prevent DVT.
The next time you take a long trip be sure to stretch your legs for blood to circulate properly or better yet, wear Travel Socks. It can save your life!

Part of a business venture is advertising or promoting your company or product. Consumers love to receive samples and Promotional Items all the time. I do! Especially the useful ones like pens, mugs, tees or umbrellas. Well, there are too many to mention actually. So if you want to get the word around about your company, let promotional products do the job for you.
You can get countless of ideas on what items you can give out for promos at Gimmees.com. They’re one of the biggest suppliers of promotional products in the net. They’ve got loads of products! I’m sure you’ll be amazed at number and the categories of items you can choose from in their website. I guess anything that can be imprinted on can be a prospect for promotional use.
Anyway, if you think this kind of marketing strategy is too expensive for your budget, then here’s the good news. They have a bargains’ section where you can get products for less than a dollar! Isn’t that a good deal?
