A family friend one time came to the house and told my mom of her problem. Her husband who is a chief mate of an international merchant ship would be delayed in going back to work. He was on vacation but he got sick. This has affected their finances to a point that they are now selling some of their properties.

I wonder if mortgage could be a better alternative than selling properties. It could be good maybe if they ask help from experts about these things who could advise them on financial matters. Now that we are back here in Prague (my parents with me), we don’t have any news how they’re coping with their problem. We can only pray that the husband is now well, and that they are now out of their fix.
