Tennis is one of the sports that I’d like to learn (yeah in my dreams!). My brother plays the sports every weekend, bringing with him his head rackets. He’s also fond of watching the sports on TV. According to him, the women’s single tennis match in the German Open was really amazing. I don’t know if you have watched it.

It reminds me of the David and Goliath battle in the bible stories. You have heard of the Williams sisters, and they sort of intimidate their opponent on the courts on account of their power and built. Some say they are the giants. That’s why Serena Williams is the top five women tennis player in the world with 17 matches unbeaten streak in the tour. She has her Wilson tennis racket to thank for the win too! May 10th, 2008Europe travel

It will still be spring when we arrive in Prague next week. Isn’t it a great season to travel once again? How about you? Why not plan a trip to Europe? There are many popular and magnificent cities to explore in Europe. If you are coming for leisure, you can start your travel right in Italy. In Italy alone, a week won’t be enough to explore all the beautiful cities and the numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites it has. You can go to Rome, the capital and head off to the Vatican City, the seat of the Pope. That’s one of the places I’d love to visit. There are Rome hotels available online which you can book for your accommodation.

How do you start your day? A power breakfast keeps me going through the day. I know some people take breakfast for granted. Not eating breakfast is actually unhealthy since you’re starving yourself for long period! Sometimes I have rice with viand, or just bread with jam, sandwich or butter. Toast is also one of my favorite breakfast buddies. I eat it with a hot mug of chocolate drink.

Speaking of toast, to make a nice and crunchy piece, you’ll need a good toaster oven for that. Reading on toaster oven reviews will give you an idea on what brand is durable to buy. Investing on quality toaster oven will actually pay off in the long run.

Click on the toaster oven reviews and start your search for that perfect toaster oven.

May 7th, 2008wanted: perfect nanny

Not all parents are capable of taking care of their kids personally. Sometimes both mom and dad have to work hard to provide for the needs of the family. Leaving their kids in the care of a nanny is their only choice.

There’s nothing wrong with that, but with many cruel and bad nannies around (they got caught with nanny cameras!), parents should be vigilant and careful in choosing the person who’ll take care of their kids while they’re away.

Need a nanny? Got some tips for you before you hire one.

Check out the records of the nanny you’re hiring. Does she have a good record as a nanny? How long has she been working as one?

Hire only from reputable agencies. They screen the nannies before sending them out to work.

May 6th, 2008what women want

Most women are fond of topics on fashion, food and relationship. What else? Of course count in shopping! Grapevine

If you’re hungry, you can also check out their delicious pastries and fresh bread and have a drink of their great-tasting coffee. A perfect place for women to hang out and enjoy! And since Mother’s Day is only a week away, Grapevine might inspire you on what to give your mom on that special occasion.

I’ve been saying that my kid is a hyper one. Want to see her in action? Here’s a glimpse!

The video was shot when we were dining at Jollibee, the famous Filipino fast food restaurant (for kids!) the day she turned 8 months old. She can’t sit still even for a second! When I’m tired I just can’t keep up with her high energy. She loves to move all the time!

Little C is too young yet to help us in household chores but she’s very observant whenever we’re busy running around the house, cleaning up. I’d sometimes tell her, “You better take a good look how it’s done so when you’re older you already know how to do it yourself.” All I’d get is a smile in return. I don’t know if she understood me and the smile is her way of agreeing.

Training our kids to help at home is actually for their own benefit when they grow up. When they leave home to study or work, they’ll know how to fend for themselves. It’s alarming to see teenage kids who don’t even know how to do simple tasks such as fold their clothes, or tidy up their beds or wash the dishes. That’s why it is important that kids should be taught how to do their share with chores at home, that should teach them to value work.

To keep track and manage the chores done by our kids, cool chore charts are available online which you can download for free. It can motivate kids to participate more especially if their work is recognized and their good behavior is rewarded. Get your own chore chart at chorecharts.com!
