April 17th, 2008youtube is not my friend

Right! At least for today. I’ve been trying to upload little C’s video for more than an hour, more than five times but it won’t get through!!! After dinner, I tried again twice but it was still the same. I can’t waste any more of my time. I hope tomorrow we’ll be friends again.

April 16th, 2008ink alert

I had a chat with my sis last night. I learned that she had a minor out patient operation yesterday morning. Thank God it wasn’t anything serious. But our chat was cut short because she had to print an important document. Unfortunately their printer seems to need a replacement soon. She told me that they already get a blinking alert whenever they print, a sign that the black ink is low.

So I took the chance to share with her what I’ve read earlier during the day about ink at InkjetDeals.info which can help a user secure the right cartridges depending on the brand and model of inkjet printer. It’s a great place to shop for ink cartridges especially for those who want to save money for their printer ink. Read the rest of this entry »

April 16th, 2008free!

Little C had already finished eating her breakfast. It was my turn to prepare mine. I left her seated in her high chair in the dining room while I busied myself in the kitchen. She whined after few minutes, her way of telling me that she wants to be taken out from the chair. Just a little more time baby… but she couldn’t wait. When I peeked at her, she was already half standing in the chair, the safety belt still locked but the little girl has managed to wiggle herself out from the belt! Ughhhh! I ran to her and scooped her in my arms immediately forgetting about my own breakfast. Can’t trust the high chair anymore!

There are many ways how to make your website earn for you. One of the most popular methods is the Google Adsense. Those are the ads you see anywhere in the website which links to other sites that are related to the topics tackled in the website. By displaying these ads on your site, you get to be paid whenever someone clicks on the links.

How true it is that we are an Adsense addicted generation? Stylish Design, a web designer’s blog wrote a post on how website owners make dollars with Adsense. I couldn’t say how much money you’ll make. A friend who has Adsense in his blog told me he’s earning an average of $15-$20 every month. I know some who earns more and plenty other bloggers who are earning much less. According to Stylish Design, even Google wouldn’t say how much you can earn. Google only states that the best way to find out how much money you’ll make is to sign up.

April 15th, 2008missing him already

He’s gone! And all I have left are the empty cans and bottles of the various beers he tried. I think I know now where little C took her hyper trait, from the dad! He arrived in Prague Sunday morning. After dumping his things at home and taking shower, he went straight to his mom’s house for a chit-chat, joined his friends for a soccer game in the afternoon and spent the whole evening with his dad till 1am. Quite a hectic schedule considering it’s his first day of arrival from a long trip, a total opposite of how he spent most of his time here… vacation means relaxation and that’s what he did. He wakes up late in the morning, “wasting” half of his days in sleep.

Shhhh… if I don’t get a comment from him here then he’s not reading my blog. But to save my face from shame, let me tell you this, the guy has only a week to do lots of things: process invitation for my family’s Euro trip, had the broken window of our dining room fixed, send the car to repair and of course, his colleagues are only too happy to have him back and is already loading his time with plenty of work. Then on Sunday the guy will fly to Uganda.

Most website owners want to promote their sites and make their existence known to other netizens. Having a high traffic can increase the site’s ranking which hopefully will bring in more revenue for the owner.

There are many free web directories where you can sign up and advertise your site. One of which is Dirmania where the directory is arranged by categories. As long as you meet their requirements and standards, you’ll be included in their web list for free. It’s a good way to gain site exposure especially if your site is new, if it’s not popular enough or if it doesn’t get its fair share of traffic.

Be a part of Dirmania! Visit their site and find out how you can submit your website successfully.

In a matter of 11 days of her stay in the Philippines, little C has made huge increase in her weight. She gained about 3 kilos! Even before in Praha she was already showing signs of her ravenous appetite for food, but since we arrived here her appetite seemed to grow more intense.

Everyone was praising how little C devours the food that’s being fed to her with gusto. Some cautious yet well-meaning friends would tell us she might suffer from diarrhea coz we fed her with ANY food. But once they see that little C is one healthy baby who doesn’t get affected with the food she eats, they’d follow suit and enjoy feeding her too. Little C already knows how to complain if she wants to eat more, if the feeding pace is too slow for her or the kind of food she wants. She also drinks very well from the glass - a skill she learned when she was still 5 months old.

Here’s the little girl with a big appetite:

is that a lollipop? nope, it’s the bone of the chicken leg! since she’s fond of placing anything to her mouth, we let her play with it.

April 13th, 2008have a seat and relax

While browsing online few days ago, I have seen a sliding sofa online and I am dreaming of having one. Aside from the sleek design it also looks comfortable, just the kind that’s good for relaxing. The sofa has an independent sliding seat where you can style it in different positions and change its look. It also has height adjustable headrests allowing you to move it backward and recline. Relaxing isn’t it? I bet you’d love it too. Read the rest of this entry »

April 12th, 2008the flower power

Occasions especially Valentines Day is blessing for florists and flower shops. With the demand of supply, they can jack up the prices of their beautiful blooms and make more money. Each year though, we’re never short of occasions to celebrate which involves flowers. Every day there is a person celebrating a birthday whom you can send flowers to. There are weddings happening especially on the months of June and December. Then there’s day to honor our dead loved ones, another very lucrative time for flower shops. And who can forget yet another special occasion that’s coming very soon? I’m referring to Mother’s Day – a day when its certain children would send bouquets of pretty flowers to their moms.

April 10th, 2008stop and look at me!

I’ve been wanting to post updates on little C’s development but I’ve only got two hands! (the left and the right…) :) Anyway, the little girl can already stand while holding on to something and she can also sit up without falling. Mom said she’ll soon walk!

The pics were taken more than a week ago…
