April 29th, 2008brrrrr rrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrr

Here’s little C making the brrrr rrrrr sound! Cute uy! :)

April 29th, 2008my baby is a girl!

Babies are adorable huh? Strangers would warm up as soon as they see little C and start a conversation just so they could play with her. Usually I’d get asked if my baby is a boy or girl. A friend reacted sarcastically, “Are they color blind? Can’t they see she’s wearing pink?” I guess dressing up my baby with colors associated with girls isn’t enough to identify her as one, at least for some people. One time I even placed a fresh flower behind her ear ala Hawaiian style and still get asked the gender question.

If you’ve been visiting my blog, you’d notice that my little girl has little hair that’s why she’s usually mistaken as a boy. How can I place hair accessories such as hair pins or ribbons on her hair when she’s almost bald? My mom told me I was also bald when I was a baby. Funny thing is, M used to be a bald baby too! I don’t know when little C’s hair will grow so I can use the hair accessories I bought her. I bought plenty of those cute pins when we went shopping the other day.

April 29th, 2008genuine warranty for cars

I have been talking about cars lately that even my baby is starting to sound like a car. Is it a cue that she wants to ride in one of the cars I’m blabbing here?

Seriously, let me get back to cars (again?!). For those who purchased cars, what’s next after you have paid for it? You’ll need a genuine warranty . You can get this online as well at Genuine Warranty Solutions. This company started offering automobile warranties few years ago and has now expanded their services to marine and motor home. Their automobile warranties covers high end and luxury cars so all kinds of automobiles are covered in their 4 types of warranty.

I’ve been shopping for baby clothes for my girl but what a big disappointment to find out after a week that the clothes have become small for my ever growing baby. Some of the clothes I bought don’t have buttons or have small neck holes which make dressing up difficult.

After learning my lesson I’m now conscious of the style and size of baby clothes when I go shopping. When buying baby Clothes I choose those that have buttons, zippers or elastic necklines which makes the clothes adjustable as the baby grows. I also choose a bigger size not those that exactly fit her current size so she can still wear it even when she grows bigger. Another shopping tip is to buy when clothes are on sale to save extra money.

Our little baby is fond of making cute and funny sounds. One of the latest sounds she’s making is the brrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrr which sounded like a car revving up its engine. We’d say maybe she wants to be a car racer when she grows up. We’ve been wondering how she came about with this sound. She brrr rrr most of the time, especially when she’s at play and when she does, her lips pout and her cheeks bloat making her look like a fish!

Maybe she was spying on me when I was browsing on the New Cadillac Manchester NH the other day. I have been visiting quite a number of car sites the past days hence most of my previous posts were about cars! This little girl usually plays on her own while I’m working in my computer but time to time, she sneaks on me and looks at what I’m doing. Anyway, you know how kids can soak up with the sights and sounds around them like a sponge and mimic them. It’s amazing how these tiny creatures can be so smart.

looking up at me while I’m working…

It would be a surprise if one day she would suddenly blurt out “I want a cadillac!” But then I would know how to answer her. “Make your own money and choose one from Werner!” Hahah!

April 28th, 2008driving in my dreams

Seeing some ladies driving their sedans or SUVs around or seeing those sleek new cars being displayed in the malls sometimes make me wish I have one for myself. I even pasted a cutout picture of a car in my dream board before. I don’t really intend to drive those big vans, just a medium-sized sedan would do. Anyway, I remember how my sis-in-law in Cebu would drive us around the city in their brand new Toyota. This brand is one of my options should I decide to get one for myself in the future.

April 28th, 2008the cars in Kampala

Hubby has already posted pictures of his Uganda trip in his Picasa web album. He’s fond of taking ordinary day to day happening of the place which most people would ignore or consider mundane. Take this photo which he took from his hotel room. It shows a mild flow of traffic down the streets.

The first thing I noticed was that majority of the vehicles were colored white. Maybe Africans like light colors, a contrast to their skin tone, I thought to myself.

When I pointed this out to M, he said that about 80% of the cars plying their streets are Toyota. It’s either Ugandans are fond of Toyota brand or it’s the only company that sells cars there, he jokingly added.

Here’s another picture of the exodus of white vehicles. If you have eagles’ eyes, maybe you’d spot Toyota cars there.

If the Ugandans have strong preference to Toyota vehicles ( at least in Kampala where hubby is staying), in another part of the world, Koons in Virginia supplies the state with their unbeatable selection of new Toyota Corolla. In fact, they’re recognized as the largest dealer in Virginia. Try searching Toyota Corolla Virginia in Google and you’ll definitely see Koon’s in the top result. This Asian car is truly popular around the world. You’d find it in Africa, also in America and definitely it’s very popular in Asia too.

April 26th, 2008a great parking idea

Going on trips with your own car is fun, you get to your destination faster and you determine which route to take… but what about finding a nice place to park? Nice means a cool and shaded area (away from the heat of the sun), ample parking space, safe from pranksters or robbers and at a low fee. Sounds perfect, right? Well, in the UK, you can shop for some parking for rent at Park Let, an online marketplace for over 10,000 parking spaces and garages (in Birmingham, London, Leeds and other cities) offered for lease at a monthly rental setup.
