February 18th, 2008not my notebook please!

Little C loves to sit on my lap when I am doing my work. You know why? Coz she loves to hit the keyboard and listen to the sound her hands make. She’s imitating what she always sees, her parents busily tapping on the keyboards. Sometimes I let her, but most of the time she strikes with so much intensity which makes me worry that she’ll damage my notebook.

I can rely on M for PC repairs but what if the damage is irreparable? Dang! Pretty soon, she’ll be asking for her own computer! Maybe we can trick her and give her an old keyboard which she can pound with all her might without us worrying of computer repairs or damage.

February 18th, 2008a place where you can succeed

Which is difficult to choose, the course to take up in college or the school to enroll to? When I graduated from high school choosing the course and the college was too easy. It was natural for me to follow the footsteps of my siblings but for some, it can be a major headache.

To help you out especially if you’re within the area of Chicago, you might want to consider Westwood College. It is an Illinois college which has four campus locations in Chicago and offers various degree programs which includes the School of Design, School of Technology, School of Business and School of Criminal Justice.

February 17th, 2008today…

After the Mass, we ate a quick lunch in a Chinese fastfood shop and headed to Tesco to buy plastic bibs for little C. Unfortunately they didn’t have those so I went to the toy section and skimmed through their displays. The shopping itch tempted me to pick few interesting items. I figured I’ll buy some as pasalubong for my kiddo cousin; a Polly Pocket doll set and an inflatable beach bug and catch-a-ball set for any kid I’d fancy giving it to.

I also bought a sippy cup for little C coz she’s already interested in drinking from the glass. I just have to take off the lid so she can drink like an adult. Last night I tried letting her drink pineapple juice from the glass and she didn’t want to let go of it. I was afraid she’d eat the whole glass! Haha

Dang, weekend is almost over… I wish it would last forever.

February 17th, 2008quick shopping

I was quite disappointed that we weren’t able to buy plastic bibs for little C. Now that she’s into BLW at full blast, it’s difficult to avoid bits of food and liquid to mess her clothes. I should have searched online first to get idea which shops in here in CZ sells those stuff. Well, I actually have seen one before in a store but it’s quite far from where we live.

Shopping would have been easy if we have a shopping search engine like they have in Australia called QuickShop AU. It’s actually a major international expansion of the famous ShopWiki. At QuickShop, you can easily search for any products in any stores. It’s easy to spot deals and discounts from the results of the search coz you can sort out the search by price; setting it to show results from low to high. I tried typing in plastic bibs and viola! I saw various kinds of bibs with corresponding prices and stores where it is sold. Other useful features they have are the reviews on stores and products which can help a shopper make a decision.

February 17th, 2008mailboxes and more

With the trend of electronic mail, I seldom receive letters from posts anymore. The last one I got was last Christmas. Residential mailboxes these days are easy target for promotional ad campaigns of advertisers and mostly insurance companies. They think your mailbox is a garbage can where they can just freely drop in their trash. That’s the equivalent of spam mails in the electronic world.

Anyway, if you fancy having mailboxes in your house you might want to see what Mailbox and Beyond has to offer. They sell high-quality residential mailboxes, address plaques, home and garden decors and lots of other products which you might find useful.

I especially liked their customized door mats and their nature hooks which would make perfect accents in a garden.

February 16th, 2008looking for who?

Find any actress on Spock.com, I was told and so I did! The first name that came across my mind was Angelina Jolie. I don’t know why. She’s not even my fave actress. Probably coz I recently saw her pic in a friend’s blog.

Anyway, there were lots of results that showed up after searching for Angelina’s name. It would be impossible for such a popular person like her not to have information or articles about her in the net anyway. Spock links to other sites that has Angelina’s info plus photos, news and tags. Read the rest of this entry »

February 15th, 2008BLW = stained clothes

Doing *BLW with little C is fun especially when her face is covered with food. I love looking at her messy face! Her clothes aren’t spared from the mess too. Watch out for the stains! Big sis advised me that banana have killer stains that are hard to remove. But I was confident they would disappear like magic with the stain remover we have. WRONG! After soaking it for a day, the dirt remained. I soaked them again for another day, still the same.

Eeeky banana stains. I have to get few of those plastic bibs if I don’t want all her clothes tainted with the ugly mud look. Cloth bibs only adds to the number of stained victims. But oh well, we had fun, that’s all that matters! In a few months she’ll outgrow her clothes anyway.

In the meantime, let’s eat!!!

February 15th, 2008a time for work, a time to play

Got lots of time to bum around? Not me, I hardly even get to rest coz of little C. But yes, I can steal some time to do my favorite internet activities such as surfing, watching movies and blogging. I often get asked how I manage to do everything. Hmmm by simple time management? or coz I‘m oozing with passion for the things I do? Oh well, different folks, different strokes.

I won’t anymore wonder how can other people have plenty of time playing online games. They can spend hours or even a day without standing up from their chair, unless the call of nature requires them so. Is it passion or addiction? Hehehe
