What I thought was a short stroll around our neighborhood turned out to be a long walk from our place to the home depot store where we plan to buy our christmas tree and decors. I was complaining to M that he kinda tricked me. Well, it was too late to go back home to return the stroller and drive to the store having walked quite a distance already.
The weather was nice anyway. The sky was blue and clear with the sun warming us up while M was pushing the stroller with little C quietly observing the surroundings, while I was looking around and snapping pictures.
Along the way we passed by a fruit stall owned by a Vietnamese. I asked M to buy some fruits; I chose my favorite the grapes plus those tiny mandarins and strawberries that looked really tempting. The total price of our purchase was only 77 czk! What a great buy! The mandarins were seedless and sweet; we ate it all the way to the store.
Finally, we arrived at our destination! That’s the store Obi, right in front of us!
After an hour of wandering inside the store, choosing decors, scanning over their wares and picking our tree – a live fir tree in a pot; we found out that we can’t carry our tree home with us. It was heavy and M can’t possibly carry it all by himself all the way home. It needs a car to transport it home! Tsk… I teasingly glared at him and threw that “I-told-you-so” look. Even the fiery red poinsettia I chose had to stay too!

Daydreaming of my crush, imagining him noticing and actually talking to me; such was one of my favorite fascinations when I was still in high school. When I recall my crushes and what I like about them, I can only smile in amusement now. There was one whom I admired because of his cute chinky eyes, another one was for his good looks, and one for this great singing voice. Oh, those were the times when my young heart’s romantic notions were filled with idealism. It seemed physical looks were all that mattered back then.
Well, my knight in the shining armor came later in my life. He was endowed with a good character, intelligence and good looks. The handsome face was an added blessing. If you go around Prague, you’d be feasting your eyes on countless of architectural wonders that dates back to hundreds of decades. This is actually one of the reasons why throngs of tourists visit Prague all-year round.
There is the renowned Gothic-designed St. Vitus Cathedral, Town Hall, the Gothic towers in Charles Bridge, the Baroque Archbishop’s Palace and Prague Castle to name a few of the splendid architecture treasures they have.
I have yet to see steel buildings or any metal buildings around. It’s also because I don’t go out much. I’m like an unused car parked in some carport. What an analogy! hehe… Well, I don’t consider myself a tourist here anymore unlike before when I first came. And now that we have a little baby who takes much of my time and energy, I’d rather spend my extra time (as if I do) resting.
Few years ago when my paternal grandma suffered a stroke, the doctor already gave up on her and told us to bring her home to wait for her time to go. We thought she wouldn’t live longer than a month but to our amazement, she lived nine months more after the incident. We were so thankful to God for the extended life she had.
My aunts, uncles, my dad and siblings all took turns in taking care of her. We were already based in Cebu that time but we managed to go home to our province to be with her. I’m sure all the love and extra care we gave her was the reason why she lived longer. Read the rest of this entry »
M and I had a fun time making the video which you can see in my previous post. When I was still conceptualizing on how to tackle the assignment at hand, we were already laughing at the wacky ideas I had. Then came the recording, with no script at all I’m glad everything turned out well… he was amused with the outcome. Pwede na pang puppet show!
