December 31st, 2007my wish list for the year 2008

Here’s another meme from Carey that has been in queue for weeks already. It’s almost time to say goodbye to year 2007 and just few winks more till 2008! So the meme goes like this “…make your own LIST, meaning, things you hope to acquire in the next 6 months of 2008 and post them! (If you can get pictures, then go ahead, post them as well!). And since there is no limit to dreaming and wishing, I’ll go sky high. Here goes:

Higher page rank for my blogs! :)

Vacation in the Philippines. A 2-3 month break would be really nice. Everyone back home is excited to see little C, so I expect to meet my friends in Cebu too. Either I go there or they see me in Negros.

Euro tour. I’ve been dreaming of this… hopefully we can sneak out for a day or two in Germany or Austria. How about Paris or Spain? Read the rest of this entry »

December 29th, 2007meeting my future sis-in-law

We have a visitor from Ukraine tomorrow. She’s actually my brother-in-law’s girlfriend. She wants to meet me and see little C that’s why bro sort of invited themselves to come over at our place. Hehe M has already met her before; few times when he spent holidays in Spain (where she and bro resides) and once when the she came over Praha for a visit.

We shopped earlier for the munchies that we will be serving them; they said they’d come over for coffee but coffee at 6-7 in the evening doesn’t sound appropriate. M and I decided to serve them something else.

It’s nice that we’d finally meet each other especially that we plan to have our family Spain holidays hopefully next year. It will be their turn to play hosts. They live in one of the bustling cities in Spain, Barcelona where there are many tourists’ attractions such as the Casa Mila, the Rambla and the famous work of Gaudi, the Sagrada Familia Church. Wonderful!

December 28th, 2007now that she’s 4 months

Little C is growing bigger! I guess I’d have to change little C moniker to big C soon.

Today I had to sort out her clothes coz there are pieces that are tight for her already. It’s those clothes that are for newborn to 3 months old. She’s now wearing clothes with sizes 3-6 months or 2-4 months label. It’s time to buy few more pieces of infant clothing to add to her dwindling wardrobe.

December 28th, 200750 pieces isn’t enough

When M saw the number of light bulbs we bought for our tree, he commented that it’s too much. But once we decked it on our conifer tree, it didn’t even completely fill up the branches;there were still some parts that weren’t illuminated. It pales in comparison to how glittering Christmas trees in P.I. can be where lighting plays a big part in Christmas decorations.

Some houses hang series of lanterns with brightness that overpowers the usual light fixtures. It’s amazing how others can fill their gardens, gates and almost anything they can adorn with flood of sparkling lights. That’s how Pinoys are, they would want their Christmas to be BRIGHT! December 28th, 2007the difference is…

Have you ever wondered what’s the difference between Medicaid and Medicare? You’ve probably been hearing these terms but don’t actually know the difference. I myself honestly don’t know about it. I am only familiar with health care. Teehee!

Anyway, just a short differentiation according to Assist Guide Information Services (AGIS), Medicare is federal health insurance for people ages 65 or older and for younger people with certain disabilities and illnesses; whereas Medicaid is government assistance program that serves financially needy people regardless of age. December 26th, 2007a year ago…

Yep, it was exactly a year ago when we found out I was pregnant. I was already suspecting it having felt few symptoms related to pregnancy the previous weeks. The knowledge that I was pregnant was our post Christmas gift from above. :) We couldn’t be any happier. And now one year and a day after, the pink line in the pregnancy test kit has become our little C who will be 4 months old already!

December 21st, 2007go pacman, go!

My dad’s gonna love this news! Or does he know about it already? A rematch between Manny Pacquiao, better known as Pacman against Juan Marquez Morales will happen on March 15, 2008!

My dad is an avid fan of boxing and every time Pacman has a fight, he never fails to watch it. Well, that is true for the rest of the Filipinos anyway. The world stops spinning in the Philippines to watch any of Pacman’s match. So this is it! After four years since they had their historic match which ended in a split draw, they will be facing each other again. This time, Pacquiao is out to prove that he’s the deserving winner!

Pacman is confident to win this game as he recently defeated Barrera, another Mexican superstar boxer, also in a rematch last October 2007. Marquez on the other hand has as much confidence, being Mexico’s one and only elite 130 lb. boxer. It will be interesting to see them fight against each other in the arena again.

Watch out for the rematch on March at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.! And hurry, buy your Manny Paquiao tickets now! You wouldn’t want to miss this one. Each game Pacman plays is exciting and thrilling!

December 20th, 2007passport for ‘lil C

Yey! All done! Little C had her passport picture taken today and she will have her passport after two weeks. Then we can fly, we can ride or sail where ever we want to go! That is if M’s company will allow him a vacation leave… can’t wait but I have to. :D

December 20th, 2007what are you into?

A person’s interest or hobby is a good basis on what kind of gifts to give him/her. Like me for example, M knows that I’m fond of collecting ref magnet from different countries so he would bring me these tiny souvenirs from his trips. Every time he’s back from his trip, I know I’ll get another ref magnet.

It follows that if you’re into karate, there’s a big possibility that you might get a karate sparring gear this Christmas. Who wouldn’t want a new gear anyway? M who’s a football fanatic even requested for a pair of football shoes as one of his Christmas gifts. Read the rest of this entry »
