November 17th, 2007poodles all around

Zzzzzz I’m really sleepy. The rainy and cold weather is complementing very well with my state. I went to bed at almost 2am last night finishing some work because I had to take care of little C until she fell asleep. I didn’t get to rest today coz earlier in the afternoon we went with my mother-in-law to a dog show; more like a beauty contest for the dogs, no tricks and stunts from them.

Unfortunately it was break time when we got there. There was nothing worthwhile to watch except for the dogs that were running around, playing with each other. After seeing all sorts of poodles, boredom set in so I asked M that we’ll go home. But before that, we stopped in a mall to buy baby C a pram. Waaa so many people there. It made me dizzy!

Some pics from the dog show:

This is Daisy signing off from Prague. I’ll be sleeping in one of the Prague hotels here tonight or probably Greece hotels. Yeah I wish! As long as I can sleep well, whether it be in a nipa house or in Amsterdam hotels I’m okay with it.

Dobrou Noc!

November 15th, 2007training little C

Lately we’re training little C to sleep on her own. It has been tough! My heart just melts whenever I hear her pitiful cries. But tonight after another series of crying and fussing, she finally fell asleep on her own, in her crib! The dark room with dim lighting helps her differentiate day time from night time.

Another activity I was practicing her to do is holding on to things. We’ve been giving her rattles and toys which she can hold on to. Tonight she gripped the key toy with both hands! Unfortunately when I took the camera to capture it on film, her right hand released her grip on the toy. The picture shows only her right hand holding it.

I should have turned on all the desk lamps we have including the floor lamps so I didn’t need to turn on the camera flash.

November 13th, 2007Tutankhamun exhibit at London

This coming winter, London is proud to host the exhibition of the treasures of Egypt’s most famous pharaoh Tutankhamun. The exhibit dubbed as Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs will start from November 15, 2007 till August 2008 at O2 Center of London. There will be 130 treasures and artifacts said to be displayed in this exhibit.

According to Wikipedia, Tutankhamun was only 8 years old when he became pharaoh and reigned only for 11 years which ended when he died at the young age of 19. He reigned during the 18th Dynasty (1550-1307 BC) at the peak of the Egyptian empire.

One way of exploring and discovering a new place aside from being a tourist is to find a work there and settle temporarily. With this strategy, you’re hitting two birds with one stone; seeing a new place and earning as well.

I know one friend who studied to be a caregiver just to be able to travel in London and work there. If you search at the internet, there are actually plenty of jobs in London for everyone, homecare/special care included for those who have caregiver’s diploma. If you’re looking for London jobs, I recommend gumtree.com. Read the rest of this entry »

We’re coming up with an online business which I will announce here soon! It was my techie brother who thought of this business which we wholly supported. This early we already have a website but we’re still finalizing and setting up everything. Just watch out for it!

How do we accept payments? That’s one consideration we were discussing one night. We plan to accept payments through PayPal and also through credit cards especially that we’re targeting companies as well. Read the rest of this entry »

November 12th, 2007where did the money come from?

We unexpectedly received a huge sum of money last week! Well, one night M was checking online our bank account when he suddenly asked me if I transferred money from PayPal lately. I didn’t. The money wasn’t from his company either. Where did it come from then? We were puzzled.

Upon checking, he figured out that it’s the “maternity benefit” from the government plus three months worth of support for the baby since August till this month. Wow! Little C has already an allowance for her diapers and toys! :)

November 10th, 2007to go or not to go

btw, how about monday? what time are we going to see
each other? teks, if you are worried of coming along
wid baby C in tow, i will fetch you in your place.

This was part of the email Lokreng sent me yesterday. When I told them about the new shopping mall at the centre, they immediately agreed to check the place out on Monday. I sadly said that I can’t go since it’s difficult carrying little C with me. Of course they offered to help but…

On the other hand, I was also thinking that going with them would be the best time to do my Christmas shopping without hubby tagging along. Last year the gift I gave him wasn’t a surprise anymore coz we bought it together. But what about my baby?. Maybe we can ask the mam to watch over her while I go shopping with my girlfriends? I hope she doesn’t have work on that day. We’ll see! Read the rest of this entry »

Somebody’s watching my little C from the webcam!

November 6th, 2007a day with the lobster

My life is a bit easier now that little C knows how to entertain herself and play by herself. Even without any toys at hand, she’s contented just looking around the place and absorbing everything she sees.

But to stimulate her sense of sight, touch and hearing, we bought her few colorful infant toys last Sunday which she can play with.

The pics below shows how concentrated she is with the toy.

She smiles when she hears the rattle and squeaking sound it produces.

She’s looking up at the toy lobster!

Up close with the lobster!
