I was looking for Christmas events in other parts of Europe to compare if they have different or the same practices as here in Czech Republic. It seems that the Christmas market is common to most European countries and cities including London. Lining in the streets outside different buildings and hotels in London, these small stalls offer arts and crafts, decorations and tokens for the holidays. Of course stalls selling food and drinks are ever-present for the hungry shoppers.
Other common practices are the gift-giving during Christmas, decking the house with decors, holding special concerts in wide open spaces and lighting of giant Christmas trees in the city’s center just to name a few. Read the rest of this entry »
Here’s a little trivia:
Do you know that Roman Abramovich, the owner of the English club Chelsea, has a wide range of Rolex watches? Among his favorites is a $29,000 Rolex Daytona and a $19,000 gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Submariner.
Wow! He surely has lots of money eh? Well if Chelsea’s players earn big money, it’s understandable that the owner of this famous football team can afford to buy luxury and expensive watches. These kinds of watches and estate jewelry prices are nothing compared to the millions of money they have.
They are the kind of customers that every shop would want to sell watches or jewelry coz they don’t care about the expensive price at all.
She loves taking a bath! Once her body is immersed in the warm soapy water she would flash her cute smile and kick her legs wildly splashing water on us. I wouldn’t be surprised if she chooses the bathroom as one of her favorite spot in the house when she’s grown-up.

fresh from the tub! hehe
Why not? With a bathroom finished with the beautiful kohler water tiles and fixtures from Blanco sinks and kohler faucets, it would surely look elegant; a bathroom one would love to retreat to and soak in a nice bubbly tub after a tiring day.
But for now little C is already contented with her plastic tub!
Good debt vs. bad debt
Yep there is such a thing as good debt. According to Robert Kiyosaki, good debt is the money you loan to be used as a business investment which will later bring in wealth to your bank while bad debt is the money spent on things that loses value through time such as the wide-screen plasma TV, car, designer clothes and the likes.
I’ve wanted to invest in a real estate business since I read the books of Kiyosaki. My only problem is the money! But since lately I’ve been earning from my little work, I was considering investing on foreclosed properties. I’d pay half of the amount and the rest of the amount can be procured from a business loan. Hmmm… not bad.
I’ve seen many companies offering loans online, one of these is EZunsecured.com. Their loan processing is very easy and fast. You can apply today and in 1 to 3 weeks the funds will already be available. Plus there are no upfront funding fees involved.
That’s really fast huh. Usually the hassle of applying for loans and the long processing time and approval time discourages people from resorting to loans. But with the easy processing of EZunsecured.com, they’ll surely attract more customers and businessman.

little C happily smiling in front of my notebook. hah!
captured it from the webcam… hit print screen fast!
*she’s almost 3 months!
Who doesn’t love discounts? I bet everyone does especially if it’s from your favorite stores. That’s the reason why midnight sales are crowded with shoppers.
Gap currently has their women’s and men’s items on sale if you buy using Gap coupons. Their clothing apparels would make nice gifts for family and friends. I know some friends who are crazy with Gap. Read the rest of this entry »
Ask me what I want for Christmas! C’mon please?
Actually if I’d be asked what I want, it would probably take me a long time to answer. But I just recently browsed over the Dyson site and saw their hi-tech vacuum cleaners; perfect for anybody especially the OC peeps! The vacuum cleaner we have is an old model and is bulky! It’s not convenient for me to use.
I saw four of their vacuum models: the original root cyclone upright, the telescope reach which can reach high places, the dyson slim which even with light weight, it doesn’t lose suction which is good for hard to clean stuff such as keyboard and the last one is the ball which can twist and turn in any direction.
So there, I wouldn’t mind getting a Dyson vacuum cleaner this Christmas. I love receiving gifts that are useful rather than those which are only good for the eyes.
she is so behaving hon, every1 is so surprised caite is such a good baby, not crying
cute kaau!
I received the sms half an hour ago while taking a nap. M brought little C (yay! it means caite!) with him to dinner with his friends. I didn’t go with them, I begged off coz I wanted to rest. But I’ve been lying in bed for over an hour and still can’t sleep!
So I’m here!
*They’re still not home and it’s almost 9PM. I’ll have a very hungry baby to feed later!
Last weekend, after watching the dog show we headed to Chodov mall to buy a pram for little C. The mall was crowded! Everyone seems to be busy, either shopping for winter gear or buying gifts for Christmas.
Since we didn’t have lunch, my tummy was grumbling already so we ate at the food court before heading to the kid store. Eeekkk with the flock of people, it was difficult to find a vacant spot.
Some shots from the mall:

Note: Don’t shop in the malls during weekends to avoid the crowds! And be careful with shopping using your credit cards, you might get carried away. If you have a bad credit, better cut down on your expenses or better yet, read and learn from the user’s guide to bad credit @ www.badcreditoffers.com.
Reading about Music Travel by Carrie Katz from Real Travel makes me excited. Most of the countries she mentioned that are tops in the list for music buffs are here in Europe. As we all know Europe has produced some of the world’s famous musical geniuses such as Mozart and Haydn from Austria and Beethoven and Strauss from Germany.
Next month, Czech Republic will be part of Schengen territories so that makes travelling easier for me as I won’t experience the hassles of visa processing. I’m already looking forward visiting the neighboring European countries. Czech has on its borders the countries of Austria and Germany.
Early this year I was able to watch a ballet of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” at the National Theater which was truly amazing. That makes me curious as to what the other European countries has to offer in terms of music; a concert or a ballet would be nice to watch.
