November 30th, 2007F is gone!

Yehey! Fever is gone. Little C is doing fine now and back to her bouncy, happy and “kulit” disposition. She’s currently sleeping soundly (literally!). If you haven’t heard a baby snore, then come to our house when she’s asleep. teehee! Ok maybe it’s not really snore but loud breathing lang.

I’m so glad she’s over with the fever. It was a phase she overcame without any meds, just dad’s and mom’s TLC.

In my previous post entitled “loads of little C’s pictures & videos” I mentioned there the huge sizes of our growing collection of little C’s pics (2.3GB) and videos (16 GB), pretty soon we’ll run out of disk space considering that we take snapshots of her almost everyday. It’s high time to prepare more disk space to house our collection.

One way I discovered how to store files is by using the Online Storage service of ibackup.com. Read the rest of this entry »

November 29th, 2007little C has an F

F for fever. Little C has a little fever today. It’s the after-effect of the vaccination she had yesterday against hepatitis B. Though she may be feeling uncomfortable often whimpering, she still managed to play with me earlier. And yes! She smiled and cooed which made me proud coz a friend was watching her on webcam. Right now she is on her dad’s lap making her cute baby talk.

Her check-up result yesterday showed that her weight isn’t following the typical weight for her height. She weighs less. I shouldn’t follow advices about giving my baby a diet then. She might look chubby but she still needs more of mommy’s milk! hehe

November 29th, 2007no passport? can’t travel!

Until now little C doesn’t have a passport. M has been very busy with work that he can’t even take a day off to process C’s papers. We would need this travel document by next year, when our travel plans push through.

Some of the places I want us to go to would be Germany and Austria which are both located at the border of Czech Republic. It’s only few hours or less (if you have a fast car) to get to Germany by car and about 5 hours from here to Vienna. Once we get there, there are many hotels in Berlin or hotels in Vienna where we can stay for a night or two. Read the rest of this entry »

November 29th, 2007travel babble

I looked out of the window this morning and saw the grounds covered with white snow. Snow came early this year unlike last year when it only visited us for two or three times during December.

Had my mom’s planned trip pushed through, she could have experienced snow in November. My friend’s mom, sister and daughter were fortunate to experience such exhilarating moment (as my sister would describe snow) when they were here for 4 glorious weeks of touring around Prague and out. They left yesterday, back to the rainy and damp weather of Manila.

Well enough moping over “could have beens” and on to this travel info. Book your hotels at Easy to Book, an online travel agency that lets you book for hotels in Prague or any hotels of your choice.

… was yesterday! My little C turned 3 months old yesterday. :)

Get your mailboxes ready, I might send you cute pics of little C! Below you’ll see how she greets me every morning…with a shy smile even when’s still a bit sleepy. I was fortunate to catch her smiling face on cam as a souvenir on her 3rd month birth day.

November 28th, 2007printing to the max!

Have you noticed the cheap prices of printers? I bet its part of the companies’ market strategy. They sell cheap printers but sell their ink or toner cartridges at outrageous prices!

If you want to save on printer ink, you can settle for cost-effective compatible
(generic) ink and toner cartridges instead of brand name ones. The quality is the same anyway but the price difference is huge!

With generic ink, I can print as many pictures as I want of little C without worrying about the cost. There’s a money-back guarantee on these products anyway if you’re not satisfied.

528 pictures at 2.3 gigabytes and 16 gigabytes of videos – that’s how big our collection of little C’s photos and videos since birth till yesterday and that’s growing!!! My hubby and I love taking pictures of our baby. Any parent surely does.

I was looking for nice shots that I can place in photo frames to display in our room. With the huge number of pictures she has, I’ll need plenty of frames!!! digital picture frame can be a solution for this dilemma. I can upload not only pictures on it which will play like slideshow but also videos. Plus there are many sizes to choose from; from 7 inches to 12 inches. Read the rest of this entry »

November 24th, 2007my little genius

I followed my mom’s advice to expose little C to books with colorful pictures, alphabets and numbers while she’s still young so her young brain can pick up whatever she sees and store it in her subconscious. It will hopefully instill in her the love for books and learning too.

Every time I show a book to her, I noticed that she’s really engrossed with the pictures on it. My sister captured some of her “reading” moments via webcam while we were chatting one day but they were hazy. This afternoon with hubby’s help I was able to capture clearer images.
