As soon-to-be newbie parents, M and I don’t know a thing or two about taking care of babies. When I asked him how he feels about being a dad, he’d tell me that he’s nervous (aside from being excited of course). So I bought this book from expats.cz, a website for expatriates living in Czech Republic - a used book on “What to Expect the First Year” of our baby’s life, worth a little over $2 USD (not bad!). It has a tattered cover page and few pages inside were marked with pen (important notes of previous owner). I really don’t mind, what’s important is the information I’ll learn from it (with M) as we prepare ourselves for our forthcoming role as parents!

How did we learn new words as kids? Through the basics … first the alphabets, then those colorful picture books. I’ll learn Czech that way too. With this picture book for kids, it’ll be easy to memorize words by associating them with pictures. Little C and I will learn together!

That’s a great book! Our OB gave it to me when I had my first baby. Also, don’t forget to get “On Becoming Baby Wise” book. It has a lot of tips and other helpful information about putting your baby in a routine like feeding, play time, nap time and sleep time. And the best part is, if you really follow those steps, your baby will sleep through the night after 8 weeks
