July 13th, 2007grounded
After a marathon of posts the other day the effect took its toll on me yesterday. I felt sleepy and sluggish in the morning. I told M that if he plans to come home for lunch, he has to prepare the food himself coz I don’t have the beef to do any household chores.
I waited till 12 noon, still no sign of him so I got up and prepared lunch. He arrived a little later with a not-so-good news. “Honey I’m not feeling well!” he muttered as he hurriedly grabbed a sweater from his closet. He was in fact shivering and was slightly feverish. My weariness faded in an instant as I took over the role of taking care of him. I advised him to stay at home and rest. But he can be stubborn, he insisted he has to go back to the office coz he’s needed in the meeting. He promised to return home if the fever persists.
He returned all right but after more than 2 hours, in time to drive me to my doctor’s appointment which was scheduled at 4:45pm. After that I thought we can drive home and he can finally rest but no, he has to go back to the office for his notebook and some unfinished work which would take about 30 minutes max. So he dropped me at home and drove back to the work. Right, he’s like a tennis ball… bouncing from one place to another!
He broke his promise again. An hour passed by and he wasn’t at home yet. I sent him sms only to be told that there’s a problem that needs his powers. Dang! When he finally came home he was burning hot, hot, hot with fever! I forgot my own headache and took care of him.

Today he’s grounded! I’m happy that he can’t go to work. I get to keep him with me for an extra day. And he’s well now after I applied the home remedy for fever I’ve discovered in the net.
